A Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil é uma federação de igrejas que têm em comum uma história, uma forma de governo, uma teologia, bem como um padrão de culto e de vida comunitária. Historicamente, a IPB pertence à família das igrejas reformadas ao redor do mundo, tendo surgido no Brasil em 1859, como fruto do trabalho missionário da Igreja Presbiteriana dos Estados Unidos.

The Presbyterian Church of Brazil is a federation of churches that have in common a story, a form of government, a theology and a pattern of worship and community life. Historically, IPB belongs to the family of Reformed churches around the world, having emerged in Brazil in 1859, as a result of the missionary work of the Presbyterian Church of the United States.
